We're all thumbs at Finextra

On Friday Paul P commented on an announcement (See the above link). It was a comment worthy of further praise. So in view of this we've rolled out a new feature on Finextra for Community Members.

We have unleashed the ability to Thumb Up comments that members have made to News Articles and to Press Releases. All you need to do is to Log In and click the Thumb Up icon next to a comment that you find worthy. See image below.

If this is deemed popular then we may well roll it out to comments on Blogs as well.

Should we also roll the ability to be like Caeser and give comments the Thumbs down?

So a big Thumb's Up to the web elves for acting on my whim in a timely manner. I'll be easy on the whip for a couple of days.

A great idea....but it still seems a bit buggy? After logging in, the 'Thumbs Up' seems to no longer be there ??

Hmm, it works for me. I've been testing on Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.

Once you log in you should be able to see a small orange "Thumb" icon, next to the name of the person whose comment you want to Thumb Up. Is this not displaying?

At the moment we have rolled out the "Thumb Up" feature for Comments that Community Members have written. And the Thumb Up appears in Member Comments to news stories and press releases only.

In the future we may also roll out the ability to Thumb Up a News Story/Press Release as well.

Can we have the code added to Blog comments too?  That's where the most interaction is.  There is less on the News feed items.
