Regular Finextra community users will have noticed a few changes of Blogs and Profile pages over the last few months.

Some of the changes are little more than tweaks - a nip and tuck here and there. Others are big enough that I'll go through a couple of them here. The most important being the one in bold at the end (skip to that if necessary!):

The first thing you'll notice by looking at this blog is the background colour scheme. We have 8 different background colour schemes for members to tailor their blogs and profile page. You can change your background colour scheme at this link. 

The second thing you'll notice (unless the admins have removed it since i posted this blog!) is the image at the top of this blog. Members can now add a single "Blog masthead" image to that will appear on all the blogs. Mastheads can be uploaded here. Please note: The admins will remove any Masthead that promotes a service/product/company etc. It's your own personal Masthead, not your corporate identity.

Third, we've also updated the Profile page that represents you on Finextra. My profile page looks like this. This is my presence on the community. There are options an this link to update your interests/profile etc.

Finally, the mugshot images on Finextra have now been updated to a square image, 200px by 200px. If you've been on Finextra for a while, then now may be a good time to update your profile photo with a new version that scales nicely. You can upload a new profile image here.

One thing to note: We have given you the ability to crop/scale your images to size to fit within Finextra's Community section. Due to the nature of click-drag-click mouse over techniques, you may not be able to accomplish the image uploading on a mobile/tablet. Sorry, please use a desk/laptop for that.
