Barclays Capital has an office at 222 Broadway that is within the periphery of the World Trade Center. To the best of our knowledge, all of the 1,000 employees based there were successfully evacuated.
In spite of the temporary loss of our primary New York office, all of Barclays businesses are working diligently to ensure minimal disruption to all our businesses in North America. Barclays Capital is trading normally in the rest of the world and expects to resume U.S. operations as American markets and exchanges re-open.
