SunGard Trading and Risk Systems has released a new version of its asset and liability management (ALM) software, BancWare Convergence.
SunGard says the latest release of the BancWare product features a high-precision analytical engine to help clients analyse risk, forecast performance and develop strategies for optimising risk-adjusted returns.
The Microsoft Windows-based system is now multi-user enabled and includes unlimited multi-dimensional analysis and time series processing, as well as an embedded equation builder that is able to define the properties and behaviours of any instrument.
Distributed processing enables speedier calculations and supports multi-tiered architectures, enabling clients to deploy the system on the desktop, through a client/server network, or within a three-tiered, multi-server configuration.
Terence Faherty, president of Sungard's BancWare operating unit, says: "This new version will further help clients make better risk decisions by providing more precise results, increased modelling flexibility and more powerful, multi-dimensional analytics."
