Under the deal, Investance, a consulting firm specialising in financial services, will offer implementation and maintainence of the Step package at client sites.

Step consists of SunGard's intelliMatch for matching and reconciliation, intelliTracs for identification, research and investigations of exceptions, and intelliTrans CS, a Web-based data repository of transaction histories.

Franck Dahan, president, Investance Market Methods, says the product will help firms improve post-settlement operations: "The optimisation of post-settlement processes, and notably, quick resolution of exceptions, is imperative in today's environment."

SunGard says the partnership with Investance provides a regional centre of expertise and services for its French customer base.
