Ryan Beck & Co, a full service broker-dealer specialising in financial instruments and municipal bonds, has signed a five-year contract to implement the Reuters Plus US equity data platform for 1000 users.
Reuters Plus combines a flexible user interface with historical and real-time data, including a range of third-party information. Data can also be personalised for quick access.
Robert Berson, president, Ryan Beck & Co., says: "We were quite rigorous throughout the evaluation phase and Reuters came out on top in all areas including functionality, price and support."
The deal follows last month's announcement at Gerard Klauer Mattison where Reuters Plus replaced Thomson Financial's platform at 120 desks. The vendor says Ryan Beck is the sixth competitive win for Reuters Plus in North America this year and follows more than 24,000 positions secured as a result of competitive wins and renewals for the systems in the past twelve months.
