Reuters has appointed David Gurle as executive vice president, global head of collaboration services.
In his new role, effective 1 April, Gurle will head the global team responsible for the business and technical aspects of collaboration services including, Reuters Messaging product development, deployment and service initiatives.
He will report to Peter Moss, global head of product management.
Gurle previously worked at Microsoft as director of program management, real time communication, where he was responsible for the firm's upcoming instant messaging solution, Greenwich. He also led the product team that delivered the technology which is the foundation of Reuters Messaging service.
