Some bubbles don't burst with a loud 'Bang!', they just deflate slowly with a quiet 'Ssshshshhh..h...'

In principle - yes, it's a large and known gap. Others aim to fill it, too - but to capture any slice of that 400bn two conditions need to be met:
- Rapid decision-making (ideally instant. real-time) with minimum beuraucracy, and
- Competitive rates. Obvious and boring, I know - but so often a stumbling block.
How good is Scayl in these 2 dimensions?

Any idea of the price parameters of the M&A deal? What valuation is it based on? How much does Novus get in cash, and how much - in equity (or what else)?

@Adedeji Olowe: The model works, - quite well, thank you very much. But it's not as easy as doing nothing and charging interest for loans and credit cards. Banks prefer that model.
BNPL involves engaging merchants (who effectively extend the credit) and managing 3-way relationships, respective transactions and risks. That hated 4-letter word w-o-r-k ☹

Just another fintech neobank, or a stealth reemergence of a (temporarily) constrained juggernaut?

Didn't they just say that funding has dropped this year? Well, some has dropped, some has come to the playfield... go figure! ;)

Not a market 'crash', more of a 'correction' ;) Doesn't mean the Fintech bubble is over, there is still plenty of activity (and some interesting cases) - just deals became smaller in both valuations and funding raised. And fewer, for sure - making it less of a sure-fire way to enjoy lavish lifestye for 2-3 years on other people's money you don't have to return when you quit... Sarcasm apart, life became somewhat tougher for the average startup, but good businesses are stillgetting funded and will continue to attract investment as long as they are... good.
