The Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CIIA) published guidance on effective internal audit in the financial services sector. The guidance has been produced by an independent committee established by the CIIA, with representation and observers from leading banks, insurers, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Bank of England. The guidance can be regarded as an additional benchmark against which firms can measure their internal audit function.
