Webster Bank live with BancWare Perspective; CSFB first client for AvantGard Tiger

Connecticut-based Webster Bank has implemented SunGard Trading and Risk Systems' performance measurement and profitability analysis application, Perspective, from the vendor's BancWare suite.

The bank has been using BancWare for asset/liability management (ALM) since June 2000 and has extended its implementation to include Perspective in order to gain an integrated system for data management, funds transfer pricing, balance sheet planning and asset management.

Sylvia Yarbough, financial planning manager, Webster Bank, says: "With BancWare, we can efficiently and effectively analyse and report organisation and product profitability; investigating the critical cost drivers affecting performance."

BancWare aggregates transaction-level data from disparate sources into uniform and verified data streams ready for financial modelling and analysis. The product also features reporting capabilities for multi-dimensional analysis of that data.

SunGard says the bank can now use BancWare to roll out analytical and reporting capabilities across the organisation and to analyse profitability by both business unit and product.

Seperately, SunGard Treasury Systems has announced Credit Lyonnais Americas as its first AvantGard Tiger customer for payment initiation and balance transaction reporting. The bank has implemented the Funds Transfer and Balance Transaction Reporting modules of SunGard's Web-based cash management product.

The system allows bank and corporate customers of Credit Lyonnais, Americas to initiate a variety of international and domestic payments and provides access to their balances for accounts held with CLA and other financial institutions.

The new AvantGard Tiger Statements module will also provide CSFB's correspondent banks with electronic nostro account statements.
