The package, which is designed to help clients streamline the integration of the FIX protocol within Oneva Trade EQ, consists of implementation services, connectivity and end-to-end broker testing and training.

Thomson says the FIX protocol can be integrated into Oneva Trade EQ for order routing, executions and Indications of Interest (IOI) and to enable users to access alternative sources of liquidity such as Electronic Communication Networks and Alternative Trading Systems.

Doug Morgan, senior vice president, Thomson Financial's Investment Management Group, says: "The adoption of FIX, which is integral to achieving STP, has been on the rise."

He adds that the comprehensive package can be tailored to meet the individual needs of each client.

Oneva uses the Corba Interface Definition Language (IDL) from Iona to allow traders to use FIX standards to connect to brokers, exchanges and ECNs.
