The new 10 node, 12 terabyte data warehouse will give the bank access to both a single source of information and a 360º view of each of its 16 million customers. The bank says it will use this detailed business intelligence to support the nationwide roll-out of its CRM programme to its entire credit card base.

Earlier this year, Lloyds TSB completed a pilot programme which analysed the behaviour of a sample of the bank's credit card customers. With the extra capacity provided by the new data warehouse, the bank believes it will be able to analyse more detailed records of card transactions in conjunction with other account activity, giving it the information needed to further tailor services to the individual needs of each customer.
