Unisys and Litronic have received Identrus certification for their Trusted Community Solution which operates on the Microsoft Windows platform.
The solution allows Identrus system users to conduct secure high-value electronic business in a Windows operating environment.
The Unisys packaged offering incorporates Litronic's SSP Global Trust (GT) application suites - among the earliest Identrus certified applications - including SSP NetSign GT for Identrus smart card integration on the client desktop and SSP Profile Manager GT for smart card issuance and lifecycle management that fully conform to the Identrus system.
Kris Shah, CEO and president, Litronic, comments: "Now with certification of this system, we're anticipating compelling Identrus market activity and we're ready to support Unisys as they launch an aggressive sales and marketing campaign for Identrus deployment."
Seperately, IBM is also announcing that its WebSphere e-infrastructure software, DB2 Universal Database, and eServer hardware are now Identrus Compliant. IBM has also deployed a global team of "Identrus experts" to assist financial institutions and their customers with integration projects involving PKI.
IBM is intimately involved in the Identrus certification programme, opening the first testing facility to ensure that application providers meet the requirements for the new "Identrus Ready" labelling regime.
