PostFinance will start deploying Vasco's Digipass 810 card readers to the 720,000 customers that use its e-banking system, E-Finance-yellownet, in spring 2007.

Customers will use the Digipass 810 card readers along with their chip-based debit and credit cards to access online accounts and perform transactions.

The card reader generates a single-use password that customers type in when prompted on the bank's Web site.

Vasco says the Digipass 810 card reader will enbale PostFinance to secure customers against phishing and other fraud schemes and protect them from online fraud and identity theft.
