ANZ National Bank issues Vasco Digipass authentication tokens

New Zealand's ANZ National Bank is rolling out Vasco's Digipass 260 authentication tokens to provide corporate clients with secure access to its Web banking services.

Vasco says the bank is replacing an outdated authentication system with its Digipass 260 tokens. The portable PIN protected devices will provide the bank's Web banking clients with one-time passwords and enable e-signature verification.

Login requests from authorised users of tokens will be automatically authenticated by the Vacman Controller backbone. The vendor's New Zealand partner RADN will support the deployment.

Last month, Banca Monte Paschi Belgio - an Italian bank operating in Belgium - contracted with Vasco to provide the Digipass 260 devices to users of its Internet banking system, Paschiweb.
