Cameron Systems signs Singapore Exchange to FIX engine

The Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) is installing Cameron Systems' CameronFIX Engine to provide member firms with standard FIX connectivity to the securities market.

The exchange will use the software to provide seamless electronic order routing to the market using the FIX protocol via its SGXAccess Gateway. SGX will also integrate the FIX engine with its order routing and market data trading link to improve connectivity to other exchanges.

The license purchased by SGX will enable it to install the system at all its trading members' sites, allowing them to trade in Singapore's securities market from anywhere in the world through their own terminals.

Chew Hong Gian, EVP and head of technology, SGX, says: "We are pleased to use CameronFIX to provide more efficient global access to our marketplace through SGXAccess, which is key to our growth strategies of extending our reach and increasing market depth and liquidity."
