Citigroup Australia is implementing Cameron Systems' recently released CameronFIX Seats (stock exchange automated trading system) interface and Market Mirror product to provide its brokers with FIX connectivity to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
The CameronFIX Seats interface - part of the vendor's Direct Market Access (DMA) architecture - enables brokers to link to the ASX trading platform using the FIX messaging standard.
Citigroup also deployed the vendor's Market Mirror software, which keeps track of orders in the market.
Ben Valentine, vice president, equity electronic trading, Citigroup, says: "The CameronFIX Seats Interface presented well during our evaluation process as it required minimal configuration and was easily integrated with our existing trading system."
Cameron Systems says the interface provides fast FIX connections whilst supporting and handling complex Seats operations, such as upward quantity amendments that require the introduction of split orders on Seats. The interface supports load balancing across multiple Seats gateways to service multiple FIX clients simultaneously.
