Level Four targets Central and Eastern Europe with Nomad alliance

Nomad Software, a provider of card payments systems, is to market and distribute Level Four Software's ATM test and development system to its clients in Central and Eastern Europe.

Central and Eastern Europe is a target region for Level Four business expansion in 2004.

Martin Macmillan, CEO, Level Four comments, "Central and Eastern Europe is an emerging banking region and a key growth area for Level Four. Working together with Nomad Software provides an excellent platform for us to penetrate this market."

Level Four says the agreement will be particularly useful for firms wanting to adopt new industry regulations, such as EMV. The vendor's software supports Nomad's core transaction processing and switching system, Nomad Cortex, used by banks to test high volumes of both magnetic stripe and EMV smart card transactions.

Firm using Nomad Cortex can use Level Four's ATM Channel Development Suite to simulate full end-to-end transaction testing directly from a card, through the ATM and up to a host system.

John Yeomans, CEO of Nomad Software, says: "Our relationship with Level Four adds value to our customers. Level Four's software is well aligned with the Nomad Cortex solution set to offer customers a comprehensive solution for end-to-end ATM development and testing."
