Macedonian bank Stopanska is to use Nomad Software's payments product Cortex to issue the country's first EMV smart cards.
Stopanska says it will begin rolling out EMV cards next year.
The bank has been using Cortex for electronic payments processing since June 2000. The system will now be used to manage all processes involved in issuing and authorising credit cards.
Milica Caparovska, retail banking manager, Stopanska, says: "We are confident that this new solution will address our goals of increased levels of customer service, help attract new customers and ensure support of Stopanska's expansion strategy."
