UK stockbroker Rowan Dartington has signed a two-year contract for Thomson Financial's One Equity Web application and GlobalTopic Trader workstations.
The Bristol-based brokerage will roll out a combination of One Equity and GlobalTopic Trader to 30 users.
Thomson's One Equity Web is targeted at off-trading floor users, as well as retail brokers and institutional investors. The browser-based system provides clients with real time exchange data and news, integrated with historical and fundamental data and analytics.
GlobalTopic Trader combines market data and news with trading tools. In addition to trading links to the London Stock Exchange, Xetra and Retail Service Providers, the product offers position keeping and order routing and management as well as APIs for integration with in-house systems.
Barrie Newton, managing director, Rowan Dartington, says: "Signing for Thomson One Equity Web and renewing our commitment to GlobalTopic Trader and Autex means that we are able to offer our users the appropriate real-time equity product for their needs at an overall lower cost of ownership than disparate systems provided by a range of other suppliers."
