Thomson Financial expands European sales teams; signs Pictet & Cie

Thomson Financial has appointed Thalius Hecksher as sales manager, Ireland and has added Jason Nabi, Brian Miranda, Tom Glanville and Hanah Graham to its London sales team.

Hecksher joins the firm from Reuters where he spent four years in a range of roles. He was ultimately responsible for sales and business development for major accounts in Ireland. He reports to Alan Whyte, sales director, Scotland and Ireland.

Nabi joins the firm as head of sales for Portia and Vestek/Quantec, Europe.

He will be responsible for driving sales and support for Thomson Financial's European buy-side STP business. Nabi was previously regional sirector of risk management technology vendor Almonde. Prior to this he spent two years at Algorithmics.

Before this he was consulting sales manager at IBM Global Services - trading and STP practice, and spent five years at Bloomberg where he was sales manager, responsible for transaction products. Nabi started his career as an equity trader at the London Stock Exchange.

Miranda has been appointed business development manager. He also joins Thomson from Reuters where he spent nine years in a variety of roles including sales specialist, Reuters Solutions, team leader for the Internet solutions business at Bridge Information Systems. Miranda also held a number of sales roles at Dow Jones Markets.

Glanville joins Thomson as sales manager, UK. He was previously business development manager at Dun and Bradstreet's integration solutions team, focusing on the financial vertical. Prior to this he was UK sales manager at IT services company Aris.

Graham was previously at Reuters Research, formerly Multex, and has also worked at Druid Systems. She joins Thomson as account manager, UK.

Separately, US asset manager Pictet & Cie is to roll out Thomson Financial's One Analytics platform to 120 users across seven locations.

Thomson One Analytics is a real-time analytical workflow system for institutional investors that allows users to monitor markets, portfolios and securities. The product also features an an Excel add-in.
