Thomson signs Rabobank International and Bridgewell to equity products

Rabobank International has signed a two year contract with Thomson Financial for a thin client version of the Thomson One Equity workstation for roll out at its London branch.

Thomson One Equity Web is targeted at off-trading floor users, as well as retail brokers and institutional investors. The browser-based system provides clients with real time exchange data and news, integrated with historical and fundamental data and analytics.

Michael Bourke, head of the European regional M&A group, Rabobank International, says: "We selected Thomson One Equity Web because it provides our M&A team with a desktop solution that that can be personalised to each user's workspace.

"It has significantly enhanced our research and information gathering capabilities by creating a single integrated solution for real-time market data, news and analytics."

Additionally, London-based investment banking and securities group Bridgewell has signed a two year deal with Thomson Financial and has deployed a combination of the vendor's One Equity application and GlobalTopic workstation across 40 seats in the UK.

GlobalTopic is a real-time securities pricing product built on the Topic3 domestic equity platform. The system features customisable screen layouts and provides access to Thomson's DataStream content as as well as the vendor's ownership data, company fundamentals data and research reports.

Users can also access over 60 news wires including Dow Jones and other real time data services including Level II displays, alerts, time and quotes and ticker displays.
