The Window-based workstation - designed for both buy-side and sell-side market professionals - combines SunGard's quote applications, market monitors, historical data and charting tools with Wall Street Source's 1 Stop Pro product.

Launched last year, 1 Stop Pro integrates more than 100 sources of financial news, information and data and enables users to organise and find information according to specific business needs.

Rick Snape, president of SunGard Market Data Services, says: "This new workstation brings together all the pieces necessary to put us in a solid competitive position in the institutional market."

A thin-client, Web-based version of the product is also available, either independently or as an extension of the Windows-based desktop application.

SunGard says its exchange connectivity and data delivery infrastructure stems from the acquisition of the PowerPartner application and data centre from the bankruptcy sale of Bridge Information Systems in 2001.
