Switzerland-based Privatbank IHAG Zürich has implemented SunGard Investment Management Systems' Apsys III banking platform integrated with the Front Arena market access module of the vendor's Trading Systems division, in an initiative aimed at streamlining its asset management operations.
The Apsys III multilingual, multi-currency real-time banking system sends orders and receives trade confirmations via Front Arena's multi-market access interface.
Orders are in turn fed back to Apsys where the trades are automatically booked and settled.
Herbert Brunner, head of IT and operations, IHAG, says: "We needed a cost-efficient and effective IT solution to streamline the management of our private clients' assets."
The bank says it plans to connect the system to the SWX, Eurex and virt-X electronic exchanges.
