The eyeTeller terminal allows consumers to withdraw cash, conduct bill payment, money and wire transfers, read and send e-mail, and buy movie or concert tickets over the Internet.

Consumers must first obtain a line of credit, which they can draw down following biometric verification by the machines. Merchants can order the eyeTeller for their stores or use them as their cash registers, says City-Money.

Roll out of the first biometric terminals is set for May 2002.
