Dublin-based multi-channel banking technology vendor Eontec has appointed former SunGard president, Patrick Brazel, as executive chairman of the board.
Brazel will work closely with CEO Jim Callan to promote corporate awareness and drive the company's global development programme.
Prior to joining Eontec, Brazel was president of SunGard Capital Markets. Eontec pointedly note that when Brazel joined SunGard it was capitalised at $150 million and when he left it was worth around $6 billion. Management at the Irish banking systems vendor, which recently received a further $25 million of funding, clearly hopes that Brazel can work the same magic a second time around.
