The move will allow financial institutions to implement BankFrame's EJB-based banking applications across all channels on the IBM mainframe, from one single platform, say the companies. All processes relating to customer touchpoints, including loans and payments processing, branches, wireless and Internet banking applications, can be easily integrated and accessible.

The deployment, completed using Linux, Websphere and DB2, has been undertaken to address the current period of legacy renewal - such as the replacement of Cobol with component-based systems on the mainframe - and server consolidation strategies of large tier one banks.
