Nasdaq Europe was created from the acqusition of pan-European exchange Easdaq earlier this year and established primarily as a market for growth stocks. But with the new issue market in the doldrums, many believe that Nasdaq will be forced to acquire or enter an alliance with an established exchange, such as London, if it is to make progress in Europe.
