Nasdaq Liffe Markets (NQLX) has recruited five new hires to its management team, led by president Bob Fitzsimmons and general counsel David Harris.
William Boyk is to oversee market operations as executive vice president. The new recruit comes from the Chicago Board of Trade where he served for twenty-two years, most recently as vice president, program management.
Barbara Richards as executive vice president, market development, will work to maximise exposure of the new all-electronic exchange to potential members and market participants. Her background includes experience in equity, futures and options markets, having held positions as executive vice president, market development, at the Chicago Stock Exchange and executive vice president of marketing at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Kathleen Hamm has been charged with working on regulatory and rules issues in the role of senior vice president, compliance and regulation. Prior to joining NQLX, Hamm worked for nine years at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) where she managed and coordinated all aspects of three enforcement branches that investigated potential violations of the federal securities law.
Vice president of business development is Larry Browne, who joins NQLX from Archipelago where he worked in marketing and sales as the San Francisco branch manager.
Debbie Gruetzmacher takes up position as vice president, clearing & membership.
NQLX maintains offices in New York, Chicago, and London. It will initially list single stock futures on the largest US companies through Liffe’s electronic trading platform.
