Financial Internet portal e-financialdepot.com has appointed Julia Johnson to the company's board of advisors.
Johnson is currently serving as vice president of communications and marketing for Milcom Technologies. She is also the national spokesperson for the Net Compete Now Coalition, an organisation that promotes regulation-free rapid deployment of competitive high-speed Internet and communications technology.
Prior to her position with Milcom Technologies, Johnson served as state chair of the Federal/State joint board on Universal Science where she recommended federal policies to the FCC deployment of the Internet and advanced communications services in the United States.
In 1999, Florida governor Jeb Bush appointed Johnson to chair Florida's Information Service Technology Development Taskforce advising him on IT policy and related legislative issues.
