French banking group Société Générale has appointed Brigitte Louis head of information systems for the Global Investment Management and Services (GIMS) division.
The newly-created job brings with it a seat on the executive committee of GIMS, chaired by Philippe Collas, Société Générale deputy ECO.
A fifteen-year veteran of the SG group, Louis began her career in 1980 at the Caisse des Depots et Consignations as security back office management, business project manager and head of IS strategy. In 1986, she joined the Sopra and Sema Group, occupying positions of senior consultant, project director and business unit manager.
Louis joined SG in 1991, with responsibility for equity back office IT, capital markets IT and European investment banking IT for corporate and investment banking. In 2000, she became head of the information systems department at SG Asset Management.
