OrderTools, which is a component of the vendor's trading system STPlatform, allows users to enter foreign exchange limit orders, execute and manage conditional orders.

SG CIB will use the technology to upgrade its electronic foreign exchange ordering system with spot orders, forwards and futures, including exchange for physical (EFP) synthetic contracts.

Jay Green, head of e-commerce at SG CIB, New York, says OrderTools was chosen to help the bank reduce operational risk: "Its database replication feature allows us to 'pass the book' seamlessly between offices on opposite sides of the world."
