Imex will be implemented on a mainframe platform and will be used to support the bank's trade finance operations in Western Europe.

The system handles all inward and outward letters of credit, standby L/C, collection, guarantee, remittance and financing requirements of a bank's international trade department.

Daniel le Strat, project director, says: "Our goal is to equip our back-office units with a STP solution allowing them to manage the complete life cycle of their trade finance transactions."
