Postbank Systems, the IT service provider of Deutsche Postbank, has contracted with Siemens Business Services for the management and support of its servers, networks and software until October 2006.
Under the contract, Siemens will manage and support Deutsche Postbank's Unix/Intel-based servers, as well software from various vendors, including the SAP technology which the bank has been using since 2003.
The vendor says the switch to a single IT service provider will cut the bank's maintenance costs and improve services.
