Deutsche Postbank has installed 55 IQmx voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) desktops and an Alliance MX switch from IPC Information Systems, at its new trading floor in Frankfurt.
IPC bills its IQmx system as the first integrated trading platform to deliver voice, video and data through a single path to the trader's desktop.
The company will also provide Postbank with on-site technical support.
Thomas Mangel, chief technology officer at Postbank Systems, says: "IPC technology provides the needed versatility to support not only our move but future expansion."
He adds that the new trading floor is almost twice as large as Postbank's older operation in Bonn and has built-in capacity to expand as the bank grows.
