Cairo Amman Bank deploys CR2 multi-channel banking software

Jordan-based Cairo Amman Bank (CAB) has begun deployment of CR2's multi-channel banking package, BankWorld.

Dublin-based CR2 says the CAB, which is the largest retail bank in Jordan and Palestine, was looking for a system with Arabic language capabilities.

The bank has already gone live with the ATM application from the package and has launched ATM banking services. Web banking, telephone banking and mobile services are now being rolled out.

CR2 says the new services will be integrated with the bank's back office systems in Jordan and the West Bank, allowing customers to access accounts in either country via any channel.

Jamal Habahbeh, head of e-services, CAB, comments: "By implementing the CR2 solution, CAB customers can use the same ID across the different channels. They can also manage all accounts from a single contact as part of our CRM service. This will have the same look and feel as all other interaction points."

CAB has also signed up to CR2's hosted CardWorld Issuer service and will be using the vendor's Cardworld Producer system to begin issuing Visa Electron cards.
