India's Canara Bank is extending its ATM network by deploying cash machines from NCR running software from Dublin-based CR2.
The new NCR machines will expand Canara's network to over 500 ATMs. The bank will install the ATM client, controller, distributor and channel manager applications from CR2's BankWorld package across all machines.
BankWorld ATM client utilises browser technologies to provide multimedia facilities including graphics, audio and streaming video. The controller and distributor applications will enable Canara Bank to update screens and carry out ATM software maintenance and distribution remotely.
CR2 says the software will allow the bank to add new self service terminals quickly and efficiently, on a phased basis.
Rajesh Juriasingani, CR2 regional manager, India, adds: "The new and innovative functionality of BankWorld ATM will enhance the entire self-service experience for Canara Bank, making it more convenient for its customers."
