SpareBank 1 signs with Telenor for telephony services

Norwegian bank SpareBank 1 has signed a three year contract, worth a total of NKr 150m, with Telenor for managed telecommunication services.

Under the contract, Telenor will provide the bank with a complete telecommunications system, including mobile telephony services.

The agreement also includes the supply of a Web-based customer service system which will handle incoming calls, and Telenor's conference call system MeetAt.

Anders Hauglie-Hanssen, director of division business market, Telenor, says: "By assuming full responsibility for our customer's telecommunications needs, we are able to supply the solutions that are best suited to meet the challenges our customer will be facing."
