SG CIB rolls out Thomson's One Banker and One Equity Web to 100 desks

SG Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) has signed a two-year contract for Thomson Financial's One Banker desktop product and One Equity Web application.

In total, the Thomson Financial products have been rolled out to more than 100 bank staff in both Paris and London.

SG CIB has implemented One Banker product at its corporate finance division while the Equity Web system has been installed at its equity research department.

Thomson One Banker provides users with quick access to market data and news - including company fundamental data, earnings estimates and analyses, transaction data and research - from sources such as First Call, Worldscope, Investext and Thomson Securities Data Company.

The vendor's One Equity Web is designed for off-trading floor users, as well as retail brokers and institutional investors. The browser-based system provides users with real time exchange data and news, integrated with historical and fundamental data and analytics.

John Murphy, chief operating officer, Société Générale, says the products "offer opportunities to gain efficiencies in workflow and achieve significant cost savings by aggregating functionality and content from many sources into one application framework".
