GlobalCollect will provide processing for payments made without a card, such as bank transfers and direct debit processing.

The vendor says payment alternatives to credit cards are increasingly used by online retailers, especially for the collection of European payments.

GlobalCollect will also provide online bank account validation services, where any account details given are screened against updated account information databases. The company currently offers bank account validity checks for Germany, the UK and France with other countries to be added next year.
