Microsoft has teamed with New York-based Volante Technologies to develop, market and distribute a straight-through processing financial messaging platform based on its .NET framework.
Volante's STP products speed up data integration. The vendor's graphical designer software enables firms to define messaging models that can be deployed on multiple platforms.
However, Vijay Oddiraju, chairman and founder, Volante Technologies, says: "Our market research indicated that servers running Windows and Microsoft .NET are growing at a faster pace than any other platform in the financial services market."
Kenny McBride, global industry manager for capital markets at Microsoft, says: "Volante's industry-specific integration technology has resulted in a unique solution to address the problem of achieving STP."
