The Latest Technologies for Banks to Detect and Prevent Credit Card Fraud

I suggest that you read a book called 'How to lie with statistics' by Darrell Huff. It is still in print and used to be compulsary reading to take a Maths degree. A someone who has spent 45 years in banking and finance IT and who has been to the US 80 times or more, I know that these figures are wrong. I suspect that someone has confused the number of fraudulent transactions with the number of people who have been defrauded. In other words, if someone steals your card information and uses it ten times before being stopped, that is not 10 people being defrauded. Suggest that you contact Visa and Mastercard, who carry out more than 60% of credit card processing in the US to get an accurate figure rather than third parties.
