Native NFC on iPhone - courtesy of MasterCard Australia

predicted back in December last year that iPhone will have NFC in 2013.

We now have it! Pay attention to "tap" at 0:32

To enable that feature on YOUR iPhone, contact MC Australia :)

P.S. On a serious note, NFC was my only "miss". The rest of the items from my list have been "ticked off": rise of Bluetooth Low Energy (PayPal Beacon, iOS iBeacon, Microsoft, and all those smartwatches that are getting hotter every day), mainstream biometrics (iPhone 5S, with Microsoft and Samsung in the pipeline), virtual bank cards (MasterPass in retail), embedded secure element (Samsung).

Some more exciting things are yet to happen before the end of the year, starting with certain announcements at Money2020.
