Aconite says the installation will enables TNS to provide its UK financial services clients with end-to-end EMV processing and authorisation ahead of the 2005 chip card mandate.

Transaction Enabler provides issuers with EMV authorisation processing, while Script Processor allows them to deliver EMV scripts for fraud prevention, risk management and off-line PIN services. Aconite says EMV Facilitator will reduce the time, risk and costs assicated with testing.

Ray Low, managing director at TNS, comments: "We selected Aconite as a partner because they could offer a seamless end-to-end solution for EMV migration."

He adds: "We will benefit from this alliance by building a competency in the chip market that will improve our service offering to our target market of financial institutions."
