Reuters' flagship 3000 Xtra desktop system is a real-time premium data service for financial professionals. Trader delivers quotes, news, fundamentals, pricing tools, and analytics via an easy to navigate desktop while BridgeChannel provides browser-based access to streaming data, news, analytics and charts.

Jan-Rene Dolfing, director, Reuters, The Netherlands, says in the current climate, banks don't want a one-size fits all approach.

"As part of our segmentation strategy, Reuters has been making radical improvements to its product portfolio, increasing competitiveness of products like Reuters 3000 Xtra and introducing new light-weight, easy to use desktops like Reuters Trader," says Dolfing.

The desktops were selected following a competitive tender. Berry Debrauwer, general manager, institutional sales, Van Lanschot, says: "By working with Reuters we are able to give our staff the tools they need, not more and not less."
