SocGen's Progecarte programme is a turnkey rental offer of POS terminals and includes distribution, installation, training and maintenance services. Schlumberger has been managing Progecarte for four years and has provided services to 30,000 retail professionals.

Patrick Rasson, assistant director, e-business, Societe Generale, says Schlumberger's terminals also performed well in the French EMV pilot.

The bank says the second stage of Progecarte is supplied by two manufacturers and features Schlumberger MagIC Evolution fixed and mobile POS terminals, which are certified EMV level 2.
