Aconite, a UK business IT consultancy and software solutions provider specialising in EMV, smart cards and security, has appointed Chris Black as business development manager to help drive the company's international growth ambitions.
A member of the Barclaycard team that pioneered the UK's first point-of-sale service, PDQ, Black spent seven years in the IT industry implementing major projects and supporting one of the largest on-line transaction processing systems in the world.
He then embarked upon a sales career with ACI Worldwide, before joining Nomad Software as sales director in 2000.
James Cronk, sales director at Aconite, comments: "With the EMV global mandate looming, Aconite has seen an increased demand for its technology, consultancy and services on an international level. As such, we are expanding our business across EMEA, Asia Pacific and South America."
