London-based Aconite, an IT consultancy and software provider specialising in EMV, smart cards and enterprise security, has promoted James Cronk to director of sales, marketing and business development.

Cronk was previously head of sales and business development at Aconite. In his new role he will be responsible for driving revenue growth and developing strategic relationships with banks and retailers as the business expands its international operations.

He joined Aconite from Corillian International where he was international sales and business development director. Before this he was sales director at S1, responsible for northern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to working in the e-finance industry, Cronk was a management consultant for Dun & Bradstreet and Arthur Anderson.
