UK-based Researchsummary.com has appointed Desmond Quilty director of business development.
Quilty joins the company from Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup) where he was global head of production and supervision, equity research. He was previously business manager for equities research at UBS Warburg.
He will report to company CEO John Thorne.
The move follows the appointment of Charles Lambert, former global co-head of equity research at Merrill Lynch, to the company in April 2002.
Researchsummary provides consultancy and software services based on the RIXML (Research Information eXchange Mark-up Language) investment research language for buy and sell side financial institutions in the US and Europe.
