CR2's BankWorld software allows round-the-clock access to bank accounts and financial information. Burgan Bank customers will be able to use the system to perform balance enquiries, view and print statements, monitor transactions, conduct international and local payments, account transfers and authorise payments.

The solution has been integrated with the bank's ATM and card management system Sparrow, another CR2 group product, to provide co-ordinated authentication across multiple channels and customer contact points. The Internet banking service will be made available to the bank's 45,000-strong customer base through a network of dedicated personal bankers.

Sami Al-Ali, general manager of Burgan Bank, says: "Early 2001, we will be offering corporate customers real-time foreign exchange trading capability featuring live prices for dealing FX spot transactions. Additionally, the multi-currency function will enable all customers to conduct transactions in any major currency throughout the world."
